Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to senior management.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
