Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting the company’s strategic financial planning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and perform accurate month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP) and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
