We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Long Beach, CA. What You Will Do:
As our Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial reporting and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. You will serve as a subject matter expert for our accounting operations and mentor junior staff members.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and improve profitability.
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, managing a team of 3 junior accountants.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Implement and improve internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a major plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of US tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
