In this pivotal role, you will oversee our core financial operations, ensuring compliance with UK regulations while providing strategic insights to drive business performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with UK GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure strict adherence to HMRC regulations and tax compliance requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide comprehensive support to external auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis on budgets and forecasts to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the UK market.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation, VAT, and corporation tax.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial reports to senior stakeholders.
