Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to oversee our core accounting operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy of our financial records, manage compliance with UK regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to the management team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end financial reporting cycle, including balance sheets and P&L statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, and company policies.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Prepare and manage monthly budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within the UK.
- Strong working knowledge of VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE legislation.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and accounting software (Sage 50, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
