Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and oversee the monthly and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
