Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
