Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and responses to external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
