Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and variance reporting to inform strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and state-specific tax requirements
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during examinations
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting software
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Florida tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance documentation
