Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain complex reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
- Lead special projects including process optimization and system implementations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
- Active Florida CPA license required
