As an Accountant at Horizon Financial Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements with high accuracy.
- Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is highly preferred.
- Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Credentials: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
