Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Prepare and review financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead special projects including system implementations and process re-engineering
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) and Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights clearly
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
