Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including variance analysis and reconciliation.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing required documentation and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget forecasting support.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and perform regular depreciation calculations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or government-related environment.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial findings to non-finance stakeholders.
