Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily general ledger operations and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare complex financial statements and variance analysis reports for executive leadership.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during annual reviews.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the government or financial services sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
