Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and perform variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
- Perform timely month-end and year-end close procedures to maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, resolving any discrepancies immediately.
- Manage the general ledger and assist with the implementation of new accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
