Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with executive-level summaries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles, payroll processing, and tax compliance documentation
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure SOX/GAAP adherence across multi-entity operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast budgets, track KPIs, and support strategic decision-making
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor communications
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) for maximum efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in full-cycle accounting within public or corporate sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with remote team collaboration and self-directed project management
