Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks or SAP and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly.
- Software: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
