Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and manage cash flow effectively to ensure liquidity.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of local, state, and federal tax returns and filings.
- Auditing Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and schedules for annual audits.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA or CPA eligible preferred; strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations is mandatory.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
- Location: Must reside in or be willing to commute to Miami, FL.
