Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial reporting for 100+ accounts
- Lead internal audits and SOX compliance initiatives
- Develop and implement advanced financial forecasting models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and variance analysis
- Optimize accounting systems and streamline reconciliation workflows
- Prepare tax documentation and support external audits
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years public/private accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and SAP systems
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Experience with forensic accounting or forensic auditing
