Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and properly classified.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and tax filings.
- Team Support: Mentor junior staff and provide technical accounting support to other departments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance staff.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
