Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
