Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of VAT returns and other statutory compliance filings.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules and working papers.
- Provide financial insights and variance analysis to senior management.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (Finalist candidates considered).
- Proven experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within the UK.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and VAT regulations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment.
