Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles to optimize cash flow and vendor relationships
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead special projects such as system implementations or process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and tax compliance regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial information to non-finance leaders
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
