Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment cycles.
- Conduct routine bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
