Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries and oversee the month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal and external review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries efficiently.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and improve business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
