Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with federal and state regulations and internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices.
- Team Support: Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and audit trails.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
