Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and tax preparations
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting workflows
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for department heads
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial controls
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end closes
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
