Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and maintain complex balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements
- Lead special projects such as system implementations or process re-engineering initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with pivot tables/vlookups
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls implementation
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights to stakeholders
