Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the annual external audit process by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support for budget preparation and forecasting.
- Maintain the company's fixed asset register and manage depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
