Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost optimization initiatives
- Maintain accurate fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and audit compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to lead financial projects and mentor junior staff
