Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes efficiently.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis and insights.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to ensure a smooth audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
