Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and conduct variance analysis.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely record-keeping.
- Prepare and file state and local tax returns accurately and on time.
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Collaborate with the external audit team during year-end procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
