Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and general ledger reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and documentation
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting initiatives
- Lead special projects for process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong GAAP compliance knowledge and auditing experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to start within 1-2 weeks of offer
- Virginia Beach residency or immediate relocation capability
