Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare accurate management accounts and statutory financial statements
- Lead VAT returns and tax compliance processes
- Develop and implement internal financial controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice or industry
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks)
- Proven experience with UK GAAP and HMRC compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
