Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor relations and client invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance documentation.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial trends, cost-saving opportunities, and risks.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
