Apex Financial Partners is currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, OK. We are committed to financial excellence and are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and driving process improvements across the finance department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process to provide requested documentation and explanations.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close procedures, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and manage depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Demonstrated experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
