Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in year-end audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, local, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial reporting workflows using modern accounting software.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
