Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper coding and authorization before payment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
