In this role, you will play a critical role in our financial reporting lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight for our growing portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of monthly and annual financial reporting, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow analysis.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, ensuring full compliance with current regulations.
- Lead the audit preparation process, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and software usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred but not mandatory for senior-level candidates with significant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and tax compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
