Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
