Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations; serve as the primary liaison during external audits.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
