Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the monthly and annual closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for key stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger audits to identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to facilitate the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification (or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
