Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing necessary reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax laws.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Provide financial reporting and insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations in the United States.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
