Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and regulatory filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Prepare budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Oversee the training and development of junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, able to present complex financial data clearly.
