Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist external auditors during year-end audits and tax preparation processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools to support strategic planning.
- Prepare and file various regulatory reports and tax documents on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data visualization.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
