Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closings and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns while ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Lead audits and internal controls implementation for client portfolios
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting software
- Demonstrated expertise in tax preparation and compliance (federal/state)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) a plus
