Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure vendor and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
