Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and timely.
- Prepare complex financial reports, variance analyses, and operational budgets for executive review.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
