Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
