Responsibilities
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Compliance & Audits: Support external audits and internal controls by providing detailed schedules and documentation.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in variance analysis and budget preparation to support executive decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines without compromising accuracy.
